Here's a list of our meetings and events for the first six months of 2026, and we'll be adding more as the year progresses. We regularly feature influential guest speakers and workshops to entertain you and help you refine your skills. In between, our sharing evenings are friendly, relaxed meet-ups to share your own work or your favourite pieces from other writers.

Having spent a significant proportion of his life incarcerated, Jason N Smith now uses his journey to help others move beyond their bars. He is part of the Captive Arts Project where his work inspires and encourages hope in others, highlighting the importance of the arts for growth. He has performed spoken word nationally and will read from his poetry collection ‘Beyond Words’.

The renowned Maria Credali covers the basics of traditional oral storytelling: how to remember a story; using the voice and body to convey emotion and hold your audience’s attention; how to develop a character; how to break down and flesh-out a tale.
